Reasons to Give

By engaging the community in its mission, VisionQuest 20/20 seeks to secure financial and resource support from collaborative partners and donors to ensure that:

  • A national vision screening program in schools is successfully implemented
  • Vision screenings are charitably underwritten for every child in America
  • Medical follow-up occurs for underserved children who require additional care after screenings

Why Sponsor?

More than ever, the public is particularly sensitive to business ethics and strongly appreciates evidence of a sponsor's support. Businesses demonstrating community stewardship are held in high regard, standing out from the rest as an exceptional company. With consumers having many choices for whom they patron, many will more likely choose you over your competitors when making a purchase.

Benefits to you and your business, organization or group include:

  • Positive public relations
  • Coordinated press releases with school(s)
  • Customizable marketing message on take-home vision reports*
  • "In-store" campaign
  • Word of mouth
  • Tremendous good-will from the parent and guardian perspective
  • Brand loyalty
  • Featured recognition on our website's Donor Wall

*Unlike traditional forms of marketing, these take-home reports contain important information about the health of a child. Viewership of your message is almost certain.

Press releases, in-store displays and other campaigns may also be employed as you deem appropriate. VisionQuest 20/20 will work with you to obtain or co-create customizable artwork and messaging to appear on vision screening reports.

You have the option of customizing the report message based on the demographics of the child. Please note you will not be provided demographic information or any personally identifiable information of individuals.

Why Donate?

Every 6.5 minutes a family learns that their child has permanent vision loss. However, in the vast majority of cases, the loss could have been prevented had the vision problem been detected sooner. Typically, the treatment costs for an individual whose vision has been compromised due to a disorder like amblyopia (lazy eye) can reach as high as $2,500 per year. But if the eye condition is detected early in childhood, the treatment is most often inexpensive, effective and the benefits last a lifetime.

Through your support, VisionQuest 20/20's comprehensive vision screening program can be delivered for far less than the cost of traditional screening programs - about $5 per child. Our efforts to implement a nationwide screening program would literally save our country billions of dollars annually in economic impact associated with undetected vision disorders and preventable vision loss.

In addition to developing and advancing vision screening technology, our non-profit educates and advocates for children's visual health. Your support is essential in our on-going efforts to increase accessibility and quality of vision screenings for all children.
